Celer is the sound, visual, literary, and artistic endeavor of the husband and wife duo of Will Long and Danielle Baquet-Long. Danielle was a teacher of special education and music therapy, a seasoned and published writer of poetry and prose, a painter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist, also recording as Chubby Wolf. She had an extensive background in Gender Studies, Education, Basque History, Photography, and Tibetan Studies, as well as having lived in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the United States. She passed away on July 8, 2009 of heart failure.
Will is a published writer of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, having studied English, History, Creative Writing, Philosophy, and Literature, with a basic background in music. Will and Dani met each other in 2001, and remained close friends until 2006, when they became a couple. At this time they also began Celer, which had been up until this time a constant exchange of letters, music, and love. They were married in March of 2007.
In Will and Dani's time together, they produced numerous custom, handmade self-releases, sound for installations and art exhibitions, as well as creating works for independent labels in North America, Japan, and Europe. Their intent was producing works that reflect the sincere nature and importance of love, the impermanence of life, and the spirit of togetherness, through a relative and absolute symposium of expression.
As of July 2009, all production of new works is ended. However, works completed before this time will continued to be published, as of which there are many, and will appear on many labels worldwide, as well as some to be self-published in the future. While an end to new production of works was not wished, it was necessary, as Celer was, and will always be Dani and Will.Fonte: celersite
The Language of sound is pregnant with literature, symbol, taste, temperature and tension.
Imagination is the strongest muscle in the body.
Chubby Wolf, Dani "Chubbs", who also performed as half of the husband and wife duo, Celer, was an educator, poet, writer of prose, non-fiction, and social commentary, a painter, photographer, and an inventive musical multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. As a permanent member of Celer through marriage, she has created many self-releases, many unique and hand crafted, as well as works for labels in Japan, North America, and Europe. She had extensive background in Gender Studies, Education, Photography, and Tibetan Studies, as well as having lived and studied in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. She passed away on July 8, 2009 of heart failure. She will always be missed, and loved by her husband, cat, and two wolf dogs. I am Danielle. Danielle is a collection of short fiction possibly written by Borges. Danielle has four arms, a third eye, and an immaculate sense of aesthetics. If I were alone in a room with Danielle, I would levitate and speak with the voice of god. I think Danielle should sign the Magna Carta. Danielle needs two cubes of sugar and socialism. I want to aggregate and index Danielle. Someday Danielle will rise to power amongst the Peronists and rule with an iron fist. Danielle reminds me of blank verse of the most epic variety. Without Danielle the ground would shake. Danielle can be one of the apostles, but she would need a time machine first. Best thing about Danielle is her split personalities and love of Plotinus. I am madly in love with Danielle (but I cover it up with hyperbole). Danielle, will you burn all of Walt Whitman's poetry before you die? Danielle's other car is a glass-blowing machine.

Robert Henke's Bio [From Monolake's Official Site]
I was born 1969 in Munich, moved to Berlin in 1990 and studied sound engineering and computer science. My work is about the exploration of time, of space, and of rhythm and sound. Where does structure begin? What is needed to turn some noises into music? How much change over time is desirable for a given musical idea? How does a sound redefine physical and mental spaces?
I create music that needs attention and focus, that slowly builds up intricate and fragile structures, morphing timbres constructed of millions of microscopic sonic particles, cathedrals of filtered noises, dynamic and dramatic processes which grab the listener and throw them into a new state, or music that is almost invisible, floating around like air, music that grows when performed live using multiple channels of audio.
I also create music people can dance to, music people want to experience also with their bodies, massive rhythmical structures, temporary sonic architecture with carefully choosen textures, shimmering details, constantly breathing and pulsating objects in time. Highly repetitive music in which is nothing is static and which wants to exist as a state rather then a story, music which is the result of an intense occupation with detail and which still leaves enough room for interpretation. Music which improves if played loud over giant speaker stacks.
Most of my works aim for a timeless state, once the technical process is set up all I need to do is controlling that process, manipulate the appearance of something which could exist for ever. I could interact with my work by myself or I could define an interface allowing other people to interact. I create interactive network performances, allowing me to interact with other musicians via the internet, while projecting the interface and make it transparent to the audience.
Technology
I build my own tools, my own hardware and software instruments. Since the very beginning I am involved in the development of the most successful commercial music software today, Ableton Live. I am fascinated by technology as a medium for artistic expression. Technology fuels inspiration. Art inspires technological development.
